Description
LC is small form factor (SFF), compliant with TIA/EIA-604 FOCIS-10. The main driver of LC is cost and space-saving for cabling, hardware and equipment interfaces. An LC connector, which is only half-size of an SC connector, uses a 1.25 mm ferrule. With the particular six-position turning feature, the connector achieves unprecedented insertion loss performance by optimizing the fiber cores’ alignment.
LC patch cords can be used with patch panels, faceplates and surface mounted boxes. It also can support a rugged solution for LANs, public networks, storage area networks and fiber-to-the-desk applications. LC compatible transceivers and active networking components are ideal and popular in data centers and other high-density patch applications.
